          06.2.2009 I haven't blogged in four months!

Sims 3 photos! I haven't played it much, because I spent most of the night trying out the new design stuffs. Built Liz's house, though--or as close as I could get it!

**************
How awesome is that view!? Never had that in Sims 2. I couldn't even see the sky in neighborhood view in Sims 2.

The front of the house, mostly obscured by a lot of foliage. The trees look AMAZING.

My first Sims 3 Sim, Yoshimi. Yes, like in the song. And that's the living room, basically.

Not a whole lot of content. Yet. People are already figuring out how to make custom stuff, so it's only a matter of time. Mwahahaha!

Again I say, how fantastic is that vista?? I love it. Wait til I upload some beach pictures, they're even better.

          02.28.2009 The Garden House

Been a while--sorry, I've been playing Xenosaga instead of creating! Anyway, I stumbled across this awesome Japanese house while on Google yesterday and felt inspired. It was tough to make because of the constraints of building in the Sims world, but I came pretty close, I think. See for yourself! You can compare--here are photos of the actual house; Garden House. I tried to take the same types of photos so it'd be easier to compare the two.

Just for fun. :)

          01.31.2009 Eclectic House

Not much to report. Just showing off a new house. Please note the awesome green chair with the black and white fabric--I want one just like it! :)

          01.26.2009 Vintage House

IT'S SNOWING! I hope it keeps going, and I hope the ice isn't too bad tomorrow morning. Eck, icy commutes.

Another day, another house. This one is "vintage," sort of. Vintage + modern. I just downloaded a bunch of crap so I'll probably be making another house soon.

01.17.2009 It's Saturday, which means ANIME NIGHT!

If you've been reading this blog, you realize how nerdy I am. (If you're someone who doesn't know me in real life, that is--if that was the case you'd have already known and been rightfully ashamed) I play Sims, I watch cartoons regularly, and I'd opt out of real life for a fantasy one online. With that being said, I can properly introduce one of my many nerdy pleasures: making my Sims into my favorite anime and video game characters. You: "WOW, NERDY!" Yes. Tonight I had my newest Sim hold a costume party, and I have to say it was a smashing success. Hey--if I can't dress up and have an awesome party with my favorite characters, at least my Sims can. Here are some highlights!

Meryl's not a vain person, but my Sim is. And she wants to look damn good.

"But, Meryl..."
"No, Millie, we're going to do our jobs and find Vash!"
"But....he's right over there, working on his fourth glass of Scotch!"
"-_-.......sigh."

Meryl and Wolfwood congratulate each other on hiding the donuts from Vash. It wasn't easy...

Mr. Vash and Millie, actin' a'fool.

*giggle* Oh, if you don't know who that guy is, he's Reno, from FFVII. (The real Reno)

Luckily, Sims has a "Pose" action, which makes taking pictures like this possible. I like to think that if Vash and Wolfwood were at a party somewhere and had a camera thrust in front of them, this is what the outcome would be.

They're small, but on the counter there is a plate of yummy donuts. And Vash has just found them, so they won't last long.

My one serious shot from the party. The two Sims just seemed to end up in this position, and I couldn't pass up the opportunity. (You see, Vash and Meryl have an unspoken relationship with each other--it never really comes to fruition in the show, but it's definitely there and I love any little bit of it that pops up.)

On the show, Millie is a sweet, innocent, well-meaning girl who you'd think had never done a bad thing in her whole life. Turns out she's a lush, and will drink pretty much anything that gets put in front of her. One of my favorite quotes from the show is "You go, big girl!" and it's said by Wolfwood when Millie apparently has had too much to drink and starts trying to take her clothes off. They don't show that, but it's implied, and it's hilarious.

And that's it for now, I guess. I'm going to go back to the game and play until it's time for Jeff and me to watch TV until 3am. :)

01.10.2009 New year, new Sims house. Excited??

Hooray, I have a new Sims house! And this one is bright, cheery and very colorful. In fact, I call it "Not Afraid of Color," because this is more color than I'm used to including in my houses. I'm a minimalist at heart. :) Also, I've finally downloaded a program that lets me take screenshots more easily, and in a larger format; click the thumbnails to get to the larger images. Enjoy!

12.20.2008 More screenshots + some lost & found images.

It seems that, instead of being a blog, this thing is sort of more like a screenshot archive. I hope noone minds, because I'm going to keep doing that. :3 I've gotten to the fifth disc already, so I'm a little sad--that means it's almost half over! Good thing I can watch it over and over again...

This is Vash, having a dream about Rem. Rem was sort of a babysitter for Vash and his brother Knives (yes, really) when they were both small. She taught Vash about preserving all things living and how to be kind. Knives didn't learn that, and he becomes the bad guy.

Vash's catchphrase: "This world is made of....LOVE AND PEACE!!"

Have I mentioned that I love him? So sexy. And he carries a biiiig gun.

Grrrrrowl. What this (fake, totally not real) man can do to me with his expressions. Especially this one.

This adorable, small black cat is in every episode, but has no name. He's kind of the Waldo of the show, as sometimes he's hard to spot. He reminds me of Abby's kitty!

Okay, and now for some photos of real stuff. (This is how I'm finding balance these days...sad, isn't it?)

12.19.2008 New blog layout! I'm feeling spicy.

I am:

.....obsessed with Trigun
.....in love with Vash (pictured above)
.....going to force my nerdy lust on you, the viewer of this blog! Aren't you lucky!

Let me educate you on the awesomeness that is Trigun--here are some screenshots from my new favorite show of all time.

This is Vash the Stampede, the Humanoid Typhoon. Main character/big-hearted goofball. You can't tell here, but he's actually very hot...don't believe me? Then check this out...

Bang bang! There goes my heart. (SAPPY.) And I don't even like blondes.

This is (Nicholas D.) Wolfwood, and he was my first Trigun love. He's sexy also, but in a different, gruff, bad-boy way. Me likey a lot-y.

Believe it or not, Wolfwood is a traveling priest, who also really knows how to handle a gun.

Here we have Meryl Strife (left) and Millie Thompson (right). Their job is to follow Vash around because he is a MAJOR insurance liability, but they end up befriending him.

Part of Vash's charm is that he's a big softie, crying over just about everything and refusing to harm anyone unnecessarily or kill anyone. Vash + crying = me melting. Doesn't looking at this just make you want to hug the poor guy??

I'm just sticking this in here because it's one of my favorite shots--it's from the end of the opening sequence.

Anime is weird, and not for everyone, and here's a small example of why--crazy faces. Also, questionable content, scripting, and voices. This anime is not teh suck, however, and should be seen by everyone.

.........................................My, that was fun. I think I'll do more of that soon. I love looking at the screenshots over and over. :) NERDY! I hope you've enjoyed this romp through my new obsession. I'll add more later, and maybe some more Sims stuff. Although I really should be trying to come up with a new layout for my photography portfolio. Suggestions welcome! :)
